About Qotiva

What is Qotiva? A clearer way to organize industrial sourcing

Qotiva brings industrial requirements, supplier quotations and sourcing conversations into one workflow. Here is where it fits in a buying process.

Industrial sourcing often starts with a simple question: who can supply what we need? The work becomes harder when specifications are spread across emails, quotations arrive in different formats, and an important clarification is buried in a separate conversation.

Qotiva is a B2B RFQ marketplace for industrial buyers and suppliers. It helps bring the request, supplier responses and related discussion into a connected sourcing workflow. An RFQ is a request for quotation: a description of what a buyer needs so that suppliers can prepare an offer.

Start with a clear requirement

Before looking for a price, describe the product or service, quantities, units, intended application and delivery needs. A manufacturer reference, drawing or specification can help a supplier understand the request. If alternatives are acceptable, explain which requirements must still be met.

On Qotiva, buyers work through product selection and supplier matching before reviewing their enquiry. The aim is to give relevant suppliers a shared starting point. A clear request is still the buyer's responsibility; the platform cannot infer every engineering or commercial requirement from a product name.

Keep supplier responses in context

A quotation is more than a unit price. It may include availability, lead time, payment terms, delivery assumptions and exclusions. Reviewing these details beside the original requirement helps a buyer see which questions are still open.

Qotiva provides a place for quotations and buyer–supplier conversations. When a supplier asks for clarification, keep the answer connected to the request. If a drawing or requirement changes, identify the revision so both sides know which version the quotation addresses.

Give suppliers enough information to respond

For vendors, a useful response answers the actual request. Identify the offered product, quantity basis, condition, availability and relevant commercial assumptions. If you are offering an alternative, make the difference visible instead of leaving the buyer to discover it later.

A marketplace can make introductions and organize information. It does not replace checking supplier suitability, product compatibility, certificates or agreed contract terms. Buyers and suppliers should resolve those matters directly before making a purchasing commitment.

Understand where Qotiva's role ends

Qotiva supports discovery, quotation and communication. It does not process the underlying purchase transaction between the buyer and supplier. An enquiry or quotation is part of the sourcing process; it is not an instruction for Qotiva to collect payment or ship goods.

If your next requirement is still taking shape, begin with a short written brief: what you need, how much, when and where. Then fill the gaps before asking suppliers to price it. Explore how Qotiva works, browse industrial components, or create a buyer account to begin.
